Join the waitlist. The Creative Reset. Algarve. March 18-22

For clients. For projects. For deadlines.
And while everything else gets a place in the calendar, your own creativity somehow has to fit into whatever is left.
You spend so much of your time creating for other people.
We think it deserves a little more room than that.
So we’re making some.
Creative Resets in places worth travelling for. New surroundings, interesting people, real materials, good food and enough time to actually notice what’s around you.
To walk. Look around. Get curious. Follow a thought.
And make something nobody asked you to make.
make space for your own creativity

the creative reset
The Algarve. Five days between the orange groves. Eight creative professionals.
Local Portuguese makers. Atlantic cliffs. Creative sessions. Personal Training. Long dinners. Time to make, wander, read, talk, sleep or follow whatever catches your attention.
And, because some things simply deserve to be on the itinerary: dinner under the stars.

Pinterest. Instagram. Renders. AI. New projects. New places. New ideas, all day long.
For people who work visually, inspiration is everywhere.
Which sounds wonderful. Until it becomes just another form of input.
More to save. More to scroll. More to process. More to compare yourself to.
Sometimes what your creativity needs isn’t more inspiration.
It’s a little less coming in. And enough room to notice what actually stays.
In hindsight, this makes quite a lot of sense.
I grew up in an advertising family and went on to study Psychology, where I became fascinated by creativity and eventually wrote my Master’s Thesis about it.
Then life took me through photography, entrepreneurship, interiors, travel and The Global Decor.
Add two children, several businesses, a permanently curious brain and a tendency to notice approximately everything around me, and The Creative Reset suddenly makes quite a lot of sense.
I’ve spent years thinking about creativity, studying it, working with it and occasionally wondering where mine went in between everything else.
The Creative Reset grew in the middle of all that.

how creativity gets room
We ask a lot of our creativity. To be there when the project starts, when the client calls, when the deadline says so. But research into creativity suggests that some of our best thinking needs something else too: distance from routine, nature, movement, new experiences and time to let the mind wander.

MOVEMENT
Walking and gentle movement can help ideas move, too.
DISTANCE FROM ROUTINE
Getting away from your usual context can help loosen familiar patterns.
INCUBATION
Sometimes stepping away from an idea is part of working on it.
CHANGE THE INPUT
Not more of it. Richer input. New places, materials, smells and experiences give your mind something different to work with.
That’s part of why The Creative Reset looks the way it does. We take the scientific research seriously.
We just don’t expect you to study it on holiday (so no daily lectures, promised).

Eight seats. That's the size of the table.
The first Creative Reset will bring together a small group of creative professionals for five days in the Algarve.

March doesn’t work?
Don’t leave just yet.
We’re exploring additional editions later in 2027. You can tell us what would work for you after joining.
No commitment. No surprise bookings. Just first to know.

Still thinking about it? Good.
This isn’t exactly a coffee on the way to work.
Take your time. The full brochure has the programme, place, what’s included, practical details and plenty of reasons to start looking at flights.
Save it for later. Or send it to the person you’re already thinking of bringing.
Coming alone is very much encouraged, too.
the places we experience become part of the way we see.
The light. The colours. A material you’ve never touched before. The way people live, make, eat and gather.
Small things stay with us.
And when your work depends on what you notice, what you surround yourself with matters.
The Global Decor creates retreats, experiences and tools that help creative professionals step out of the usual, experience something different and make room for their own creativity.
At home and in places worth travelling for.
I believe in evidence.
I'm also a complete sucker for signs.
The idea for The Creative Reset came to me after experiencing something of a creative reset myself at A Conquista.
Months later, I opened a book about creativity and found this note from my late sister inside.
Safe to say, I took the hint. That was the moment I knew I had to actually build it.

“To our incredibly creative, clever, lovely, funny little sister. We are so, so proud of you.”
A note from my late sister Michelle (aka Sjellie)
